Hello All,
Wonderful day today in Kandahar. The sands are warming and so are our hangers. Yesterday I was told we hit 130F. We do our best to stay inside. I am moving on to a new job now. The Task Force has decided to put me into a captain slot and I am acting as of Wednesday as the A 7/159th Maintenance Platoon Leader. Don’t worry, I am still D 2/6, I am just helping add some leadership to the AVIM Maintenance Platoon. Me and all the guys are still hitting the gym every day. I have a new workout partner, SSG Gilbert, the 159th Armament Platoon Sergeant. It’s been great down here to be honest. 12 hour days keep us busy. We’re doing great down here keeping these aircraft going. And I’m even taking a couple of classes for my off time. Flying has been good, and it is just increasing all the time. You all hang in there. Time is flying. Take care everyone! Bianca… I miss you.
